Mike Dunkle

Meet Mike Dunkle (Percussion)

Mike is a Jefferson High School graduate and was a member (drummer) of the First Edition band under the direction of Eric Van Cleave from 1992-1994.

After high school, Mike attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he played in several local and touring bands including Down Low Connection: Winner Best Live Hip Hop Band two years in a row – Boston Phoenix Awards; and opened for bands such as Run DMC, The Roots, Salt-N-Pepa, and The Greyboy Allstars, just to name a few. He then went on to join the touring rocket soul band Moon Boot Lover, where he honed his skills as a live drummer playing with singer-songwriter Peter Prince. Mike and Moon Boot Lover opened for such acts as Levon Helm, Derek Trucks, Johnny Winter, and many other soon to be legends, while keeping a national fan base of their own. Mike recently moved back to Indiana and reunited with old friend Zach Coles and Fergus Daly, to become the drummer for the local Fergus Daly Band.

Mike had the great opportunity to play drums during the first run of Enter Love in Indianapolis last fall.
