Meet Don Seybold (Book)

Don has degrees in English from IU [Bloomington]. He has taught HS English, was the Associate Director of the IU English Curriculum Study Center [68-71], taught American Lit, literary theory, creative writing, among other courses, in the English Department at Purdue, full-time from 71-78, part-time after he joined the Convocations Department in ’79, where he served for 26 years as Associate Director. He began teaching Jazz History at Purdue in1999 and continues to do that each semester. He has hosted jazz radio programs at various stations in Lafayette since1987, currently he can be heard on WBAA AM920, Purdue’s NPR affiliate, on Sunday evenings.

Lynn Lupold

Meet Lynn Lupold (Music & Lyrics)

Lynn Lupold (Composer, Lyricist and Co-Director) has been involved in music for over 30 years as an arranger, composer and educator. Although her career began as a saxophone player, Lynn later found the piano and her dream to write music and lyrics. Today, Lynn is the Executive Director of Red Boat Productions.

Meet Brandon Knechtel (Auxillary… well, probably a bit of everything)

Brandon Knechtel is a freelance studio producer, arranger, and music director based just outside of Orlando, Florida. Originally from Lafayette, Brandon graduated from Jefferson High School where he participated in both the instrumental and choral departments. Soon after graduating, Brandon began writing for and instrumentally directing the award-winning First Edition until 2002 when he was hired as the full time Music Director/Asst Manager for Cedar Point’s Live Entertainment Department in Sandusky, Ohio.

Meet Jaymes Osborne (Chip, Tim, Leroy, Seth)

James Osborne is a Lafayette local who attends IT CC focusing on Radiology. He is no stranger to the arts and stage performing in shows such as Footloose, Smokey Joe’s Cafe, Children of Eden, A Raisin in the Sun and his most recent accomplishment of playing the Emcee in Cabaret.

Margot Marlatt

Meet Margot Marlatt (Cello)

Margot has been playing the cello since the age of seven. A graduate of the Interlochen Arts Academy, she went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Cello Performance from the University of Toronto under the guidance of Denis Brott and received her Master’s Degree in Cello Performance from Butler University where she studied with Dr. William Grubb. During her studies Marlatt participated in master classes with Janos Starker, Lorne Munroe, Gyorgy Sebok, the Cleveland Quartet and the Orford Quartet.
